Connect your agency’s Mailchimp account so your team can send a list of packages to your Mailchimp audiences. Kenekt creates a draft campaign in Mailchimp; you review it and send it from Mailchimp. Your contacts stay in Mailchimp. Kenekt never stores them.

One account per agency

The Mailchimp account belongs to your agency, not to one person. Once it is connected, every administrator and staff member of your agency sends into the same account, and anyone of them can see or disconnect it.
Mailchimp is not available on the Kenekt Marketplace.

Connecting Mailchimp

You need an administrator or staff role.
1

Create an API key in Mailchimp

In Mailchimp, go to Account → Extras → API keys and create a key. It ends in a short code such as -us21.
2

Open the Mailchimp connector

In Kenekt, go to Agency Settings → Connectors → Mailchimp. In the portal, the same connector is under Settings → Connectors.
3

Paste the key and connect

Paste the key and click Connect. Kenekt checks the key with Mailchimp before saving it, so a wrong key is never stored.
Once connected, the page shows the Mailchimp account name and its audiences.

Sending a list

  1. In the portal, open one of your lists
  2. Click Send to Mailchimp (it appears once your agency is connected)
  3. Choose the Audience, or enter one address under Send to one address to test the email on yourself
  4. Pick a Design, and set the Subject and Headline
  5. Under What to include, turn off anything the audience should not see
  6. Click Create draft in Mailchimp, then review and send the campaign in Mailchimp

What to include

Sending to buyers or tenants? Turn off Prices and the stocklist downloads so the email is safe to forward.

Disconnecting

Go to Agency Settings → Connectors → Mailchimp and click Disconnect. Your team can no longer send lists to Mailchimp. Campaigns already in Mailchimp stay there.
