If you run construction in Evolve Construction Management, Kenekt can create the job for you. Once an EOI is submitted, one click opens a pre-site project in your Evolve workspace with the lot, the package, the contract figures and the buyers, and files the EOI documents against it.
Connecting Evolve
- Go to Agency Settings → Connectors → Evolve
- Enter the Evolve API email and password your Evolve account manager gave you
- Check the claim stage for EOI documents (see Where the documents go). It starts as Sales - Pre-Contract
- Click Connect
The password is stored encrypted and never shown again. To change the email or claim stage later, edit the field and click Save; leave the password blank to keep the one already stored.
Evolve is available to administrators of agencies that hold stock.
Sending an EOI
Once your agency is connected, staff see Send to Evolve on a submitted or accepted EOI:
- on the deal’s EOI panel in the portal, beside the other EOI actions
- on the EOI page in Kenekt
Click it and confirm. Kenekt creates the project and the button changes to Sent to Evolve with the project code Evolve generated, for example Sent to Evolve 310006. Each EOI creates one project only, so the button cannot open a duplicate job.
What the project carries
A buyer who is a company, trust or SMSF goes on the contract by its legal name with its ACN or ABN, for example Smith Nominees Pty Ltd ATF Smith Family Trust (ABN 51 824 753 556). Its directors or trustees follow as client contacts with their email, phone and address. Guarantors are not sent.
Where the documents go
Evolve only accepts documents against an activity in a project. A project Kenekt creates has no activities until you allocate a pre-site program to it in Evolve, so Kenekt adds one of its own, EOI documents (Kenekt), in the claim stage set on the connector, and attaches:
- the inclusion upgrades PDF, when the EOI has one
- the EOI Pack, with every buyer’s ID documents, once all IDs are on file
The activity appears in the project as an ad-hoc activity once you allocate a program to it in Evolve.
If some IDs are still to collect when you send the EOI, the project goes now and the pack waits. When the last ID is on file, a Send contract pack to Evolve button appears in the same places. Each pack sent to Evolve is recorded in the EOI’s disclosure log, like a pack download.
If something goes wrong
Evolve’s reason is shown at the top of the page, for example a wrong password. If the project was created but a document could not be attached, the message names the project, so you do not send the EOI twice. A contract pack that failed can be sent again with Send contract pack to Evolve.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect on the Evolve page. EOIs can no longer be sent; projects already in Evolve do not change.
