Assign custom commission rates to individual agents by editing their user profile.

Why Use Agent-Specific Commissions

  • Reward top performers with higher rates
  • Negotiate individual deals with specific agents
  • Incentivise specific sales behaviours
  • Handle legacy agreements from before standard rates

How It Works

Agent-specific commissions take highest priority in the commission hierarchy:
When an agent is assigned a commission rate on their profile, that rate applies to all packages they sell, overriding any other commission settings.

Assigning a Commission Rate

  1. Navigate to Team in the sidebar
  2. Find the agent and click to open their profile
  3. Scroll to the Commission section
  4. Select a commission template from the dropdown
  5. Save the changes

Commission Templates

Before assigning commissions, create templates in your Library:
  1. Go to Library → Commissions
  2. Click + Commission
  3. Enter details:
    • Name: e.g., “Premium Agent”, “5%”, “$20K”
    • Rate Type: Flat dollar amount or percentage
    • Amount: The rate value
  4. Save the template

Viewing Applied Rates

When viewing a package’s commission details, you can see:
  • The effective commission rate
  • Where it came from (User, Package, Design, or Default)
  • The agent who receives it

Removing User-Specific Rates

To return an agent to standard commission rates:
  1. Open the agent’s profile
  2. Clear the Commission dropdown (select blank/none)
  3. Save changes
The agent will now receive commissions based on the package or design-level rates.

Best Practices

  • Document agreements: Keep records of why specific rates were assigned
  • Review periodically: Check agent-specific rates during performance reviews
  • Use sparingly: Reserve for genuine top performers or special arrangements
  • Communicate clearly: Ensure agents understand their commission structure

Tips

  • Agent-specific commissions apply to all packages, not just specific ones
  • Changes take effect immediately on new deals
  • Existing deals retain their original commission structure
