Marking Packages as Sold

THE SHORT VERSION:

The most common exercise is that you will likely want to mark a Package as Sold or Archived, to take it offline. This can be done with the status button on that package.

THE LONGER VERSION:

You can view Status headers in 3 places.

There is a Status at each level for Projects, Lots and Packages.

The Project has three types of Status: Offline / Available / Archived. You can change between these 3 by clicking on the dropdown arrow beside the Project name.

Or if you are inside the Project, You can click on the "Available" button to show the other statuses.

The Lot Status is Available or Archived. You can click on the drop-down arrow beside the Lot number.

One other tactic is to archive in bulk by using the checkbox, to the left of the Status button, to select many Lots in one go, then clicking the green 'Ops' button to archive them all.

Or if you are inside the Lots, You can click on the "Available" button to show the other statuses.

The Package Status is Available / On Hold / Under Offer / Under Contract / Sold / Archived and is shown below. You can change the status by clicking on any of the header icons.

To navigate and change package status:

  1. Find the specific lot where the package is associated with by going through the Lot view.

Let’s look at a sample lot where there are several packages (or designs) available for sale.

Let’s say one of the packages gets sold.

  1. Choose the correct package sold.

You can verify the package information when you choose one of the packages, by checking the design under that package.

  1. Once you have verified that you have chosen the correct package that you recently sold, look at the Status Header, and click on Sold

Once you click Sold, the two other packages associated with the lot will automatically be archived.

If there’s only a single package available on the lot, this is still the right way to simultaneously mark both the Package and Lot as sold.

PUBLISHING AND ALLOCATING

The other two factors that will affect who the package is visible to are

  • Whether the package is published or not
  • Whether the package is allocated to a specific agent/agency or not

In most cases your set up will automatically publish all packages and set all packages to open allocation. This is usually best and easiest. But you can adjust these settings to limit this more.

For more info on that, see this article about publishing and this article about allocating,
