Adding Packages

Once you have finished entering the Lot info, Media and Covenants, where needed, you move to the last tab, for Packages.

Gather the Info

Before you start you will need the relevant information to hand. Below are the fields you will need.  There is a template spreadsheet where you can enter lists of packages.  Look for the tab/sheet called Lots & Packages.  You don’t have to use this template - once you are familiar with the data required you will probably find it easier to enter everything directly into Kenekt.

The relevant tab in the above spreadsheet combines both Lot and Package data in one sheet.  The below table shows an overview of the most important data just for Packages. There is some flexibility as some of our users enter less detailed pricing on each package, but this highlights the usual key data points.

Some users will not enter different prices for the features shaded in grey, for example, and just enter a single price for the build. If you do enter more of a breakdown, this enables you to mix and match these features and have the price automatically update correctly, and there will be more of a breakdown available for agents and buyers. Regardless, even if you don’t want to price those features, we will still need the names selected as they will appear on the marketing materials.

How to add a Package

NAVIGATION

There are many ways to navigate to adding a package.  If you are already editing a Lot, you can click the last tab: Packages.

This should bring up buttons the options to create one of 3 types of Package, and will show any existing packages already on that lot.

  • Choose ‘Building Package’ when you want to add a building design that is already in your Library.
  • Choose ‘Custom Package’ when you are adding a unique design.
  • Chose ‘Land Only’ for sales of the land without a build on it.

Or you can click on the 3 dots at the top right to access a drop down menu, when you are still in the Lot editing screen.

‘Clone’ in this menu refers to cloning the Lot. If you wish to clone a Package, navigate to the Packages page by selecting it from the top menu bar.

If you are on the Lots Page (which you can access by clicking Lots in the top navigation) you can click on the 3 dots at the right of the relevant lot row to access a drop down menu.

CLONING A PACKAGE

It can save a lot of time to clone packages, rather than make them from scratch, if you have similar builds planned in a neighbourhood.

If you wish to clone a Package, navigate to the Packages page by selecting it from the top menu bar. The Clone button is a blue button towards the right of the Package card.

CREATING A NEW BUILDING PACKAGE

When you use any of the above ways to create a Building Package, you will get a new screen with a header you can use to change the BDM and the Status and a row of tabs to edit the features of the package.

Below that will be a default Design and a default Facade that you can alter by clicking the green buttons on the right to change them.

Navigation within this area follows the same principles as in the higher levels. Purple dots indicate the most important fields. You need to click through the tabs to enter the various types of data. The Media you upload here is specific to this level, the package level.  The final tab is the most important one.

Note that the features available will in some cases depend on whether they are connected to the design.  For example, if the design is single storey, you will probably only have single storey facades available.  If you find a needed feature is unavailable, you may need to go into the library and make it available to the design you are working on.
