# What Happens Next

> Where an EOI goes after you submit it: the pack, your account manager's review, the decision, and what to check when something looks wrong.

Submitting is not the end of the EOI, it is the handover. This page follows the deal from your **Submit** through to the contract, so you know who has it and what to expect.

## The whole journey

  A["You<br/>start the EOI, enter the buyers,<br/>sight and upload their IDs"] --> B["The portal<br/>saves each step, builds the pack,<br/>emails your account manager"]
  B --> C["Your account manager's team<br/>reviews the buyers, the terms<br/>and the documents"]
  C -->|Accepted| D["The package goes Under Offer<br/>and competing packages are archived"]
  C -->|Not proceeding| E["The deal is archived<br/>with a reason, and can be restored"]
  D --> F["The builder and the solicitors<br/>prepare the contract"]
  C -.->|Identity checks| G["Your account manager's<br/>own AML system"]
```
Two things the portal does on its own, without anyone clicking: it emails the milestones, and it rebuilds the EOI Pack. Everything else is a person deciding.
## Step by step
<Steps>
  <Step title="You submit">
    The EOI is marked **Submitted**, your buyers become contacts on the deal, and the package price and inclusions are frozen as a snapshot, so a later price change cannot rewrite what your buyer agreed to. Your account manager and the BDM are emailed.
  </Step>
  <Step title="The pack is built">
    The **EOI Pack** is one PDF holding the whole record and the identity documents you collected. It is rebuilt whenever an ID is added or replaced, so it always carries the latest images. You can download it from the deal drawer in My Deals.
  </Step>
  <Step title="Your account manager reviews it">
    Their team opens the deal, checks the buyers, the terms, the advisors and each ID, and corrects anything through **Edit EOI** rather than sending it back to you. Every time someone opens or downloads an identity document it is recorded.
  </Step>
  <Step title="Identity checks happen off the portal">
    Kenekt records that you sighted and uploaded the documents. The checks themselves are done by your account manager's business in their own anti-money-laundering system, using the pack.
  </Step>
  <Step title="The decision">
    **Accepted** moves the package to Under Offer, archives competing packages on the same lot, and emails you and the BDM. **Not proceeding** archives the deal with a reason and sends no email, so expect a call rather than a notification. Either way the EOI stays findable in My Deals.
  </Step>
</Steps>
## What each status means
| Status | What it means | What you can do |
| - | - | - |
| **Started** | A draft. Saved as you go, nobody has been asked to review it. | Resume it, or abandon it and start again |
| **Submitted** | Complete, with every buyer's ID on file, and with your account manager. | Download the pack, watch for the decision |
| **Accepted** | Committed. The lot is Under Offer and competing packages are archived. | Download the pack for the contract |
| **Rejected** | Not proceeding. The deal is archived with a reason. | Ask your account manager to restore it |
| **Cancelled** | Abandoned before submission. | Start a fresh EOI on the same property |
## Where your buyer's details sit
| What | Where it is kept | Who can open it |
| - | - | - |
| Identity documents | Australia | Your account manager's staff, and you on your own deal |
| The EOI Pack, which contains them | Australia | Their staff, and you as the deal's selling agent |
| Buyer names, contact details and addresses | Encrypted in the portal | Their staff, and you on your own deal |
Links to documents expire within minutes, so a link forwarded in an email or a chat will not open for whoever receives it. Download from the deal instead of passing a link on.
## If something looks wrong
<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Submit is greyed out">
    An ID is missing. The review page names the buyer. Every person on the EOI needs one before it can be submitted.
  </Accordion>
  <Accordion title="Capture ID will not save">
    The consent box is not ticked, or the image is the wrong kind. Only PNG, JPG and WebP are accepted, so a PDF or an iPhone HEIC has to be re-exported first.
  </Accordion>
  <Accordion title="A link to an ID does not open">
    Working as intended: those links expire after a few minutes. Open the deal and download it yourself.
  </Accordion>
  <Accordion title="The pack is missing a buyer's ID">
    The pack is rebuilt when an ID is captured, not when the EOI is submitted. Re-upload that buyer's ID and it refreshes.
  </Accordion>
  <Accordion title="The EOI is under the wrong agent">
    Ask your account manager: they can reassign the deal's selling agent. Do it early, because the emails already sent went to the wrong person.
  </Accordion>
  <Accordion title="Your buyer asks what you hold about them">
    Point them to the privacy policy linked in the notice they were shown, and tell your account manager. They can produce the record, the change history and the log of who opened the documents.
