# Construction Library

Manage your reusable building components including floor plans, facades, and inclusion packages.

## What's Covered

The Construction Library stores your agency-wide building components:

* **Designs**: floor plans with their specifications and pricing
* **Facades**: Exterior styles for each design
* **Inclusions**: Standard and upgrade inclusion packages
* **Commissions**: Default commission rates

## How the Library Works

Components in the Library are templates that get applied to packages:

1. **Create once**: Define designs, facades, and inclusions in the Library
2. **Apply many times**: Use them across multiple packages
3. **Update centrally**: Changes flow down to all packages using the component

## Benefits

* **Consistency**: Same specifications across all packages
* **Efficiency**: Create packages faster with pre-built components
* **Easy updates**: Change pricing or specs in one place
* **Data reuse**: Avoid duplicating design information

## Exporting the library

**Export Library**, at the top right of the Construction Library, downloads your
whole library as one Excel spreadsheet. Open it in Excel, or import it into
Google Sheets (**File > Import**) to keep every sheet.

The spreadsheet has one sheet per part of the library:

| Sheet | One row for each |
| - | - |
| Designs | design, with its specifications, dimensions and description |
| Design prices | price list on a design |
| Facades | facade |
| Design facades | facade linked to a design |
| Inclusions | item in an inclusion package |
| Design inclusions | inclusion package linked to a design |

Every design and facade carries its ID (for example `BD-1234`), so you can match
rows across sheets. Inactive designs and price lists are included and marked in
the **Active** column. Quick-listing designs and facades, and custom inclusion
packages made for a single package, are left out.

<Note>
  Only administrators and staff see **Export Library**.
