# Deleting & Retrieving from Trash

Remove unwanted items and restore accidentally deleted projects, lots, or packages.

## Deleting Items

### Deleting a Package

1. Open the package
2. Click **Delete** in the actions menu
3. Confirm deletion

### Deleting a Lot

1. Remove all packages from the lot first
2. Click the three-dot menu on the lot
3. Select **Delete**

### Deleting a Project

1. Remove all lots from the project first
2. Click the three-dot menu on the project
3. Select **Delete**

## Restrictions

You cannot delete:

* Packages linked to active deals
* Lots with packages attached
* Projects with lots attached

## The Trash

Deleted items go to Trash and remain there for 30 days before permanent deletion.

### Accessing Trash

1. Go to the relevant section (Projects, Lots, or Packages)
2. Look for the **Trash** or **Archived** filter
3. View deleted items

### Restoring Items

1. Find the deleted item in Trash
2. Click **Restore**
3. The item returns to its original location

### Permanent Deletion

* Items are automatically deleted after 30 days in Trash
* You can manually empty Trash to permanently delete all items
* Permanent deletion cannot be undone

## Tips

* Archive instead of delete if you might need the item later
* Check Trash before assuming data is lost
* Empty Trash regularly to keep the system clean
