# Cloning Projects

Duplicate entire projects including all lots and packages for new developments.

## How to Clone a Project

1. Navigate to **Projects**
2. Click the three-dot menu on the project row
3. Select **Clone**
4. Enter a new project name
5. Update the suburb/location if different
6. Click **Save**

## What Gets Cloned

* Project settings
* All lots within the project
* All packages within those lots
* Images and media
* BDM assignments

## What Doesn't Get Cloned

* Project name (must be unique)
* Lot numbers (may need updating)
* Status (all items default to Available)
* Deals and enquiries
* Allocations

## Use Cases

* **New stages**: Clone Stage 1 to create Stage 2
* **Similar developments**: Copy a completed project as a template
* **Testing**: Clone to test bulk changes safely

## After Cloning

1. Update the project name and location
2. Review and update lot numbers
3. Adjust pricing if needed
4. Set up allocations
5. Update package statuses

## Tips

* Clone projects during quiet periods (large clone operations take time)
* Review all cloned data before making packages available
* Consider archiving the source project if it's complete
